What up, Yogis? I've been lucky enough to lead classes at Makara Studio during their Friday Yoga + Food series. The congregation of Yogis, ready to end their week with a fun asana flow, then sharing of stories, laughs and chatter over a wonderful meal is a prime way to get in the community, meet people and find a spot away from home you can call "home." YogaCity NYC featured an evening with the homies at Makara a few weeks back. Big thanks to Jim Catapano for attending and the write-up. Read the story here: http://www.yogacitynyc.com/#!The-First-Friday-Feast/c1m6q/561a93480cf2c3576e58029e I'll be at Makara again on October 20th for some vinyasa, starting at 12 pm. Hope to see you soon, Victor

I want to send a big shout-out to all the Yogis that have supported me and are inspirational in my life. I'm a perpetual student and when I'm around my crews at The Yoga Room, Yumcha Yoga, Makara Studio, Earth Yoga and Prana Power, the vibes and unique elements that you bring to the practice are what drive, influence and energize me.
The 6:45 am morning warriors, the homies that have tracked me down at other studios and everyone who make their beautiful faces present at my classes… Gracias! I have a lot fun things coming up… Free Yoga at Gantry Park, 1980s themed House Party, Halloween Retreat at Heathen Hill in October… Can't wait! It rained all day today... and then we started practicing at Makara Studio. Once the 90-minute sweat-fest was over, the rain stopped and a studio full of yogis went on their way to enjoy the rest of their weekend. Again, it was a true pleasure leading the donation vinyasa class today. Big shout out to all the hardcore yogis who weathered the storm to get their asana action. Tomorrow, I'll be at Earth Yoga NYC for a 75-minute hot vinyasa flow. Oh, that's at 10 am. So before you head out for brunch and a lil' football, get the day started right with me at one of the finest hot studios in NYC. Enjoy your weekend, Vic I'm back... Saturday afternoon, October 11th, I'll be back at Makara Studio leading another 90-minutes of Vinyasa flow. Last Saturday, we rocked the house and today, during my weekly donation based Friday class, the level of heat in there was taken to another level. So here's the info: tomorrow, from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm, I'll be subbing. It's donation based... "Anyone who wants to practice yoga should be able to! This class is intended for people who can't afford $15 (our drop in rate) on a regular basis. Emphasis will be placed on learning sequences and counter poses so that students can create a safe home practice. Suggested donation is $10 or something of equal or greater value in exchange for class. An equal exchange of energy is essential to receiving the benefits from your teacher and practice." - Makara Studio So you got the info... are you showing up? Show up, then SHOW UP! Peace & Love, Vic I would like to thank everyone that participated, joined me and supported the yoga in the park classes in Brooklyn all Summer long.
