Enjoy your weekend,
Tomorrow, Saturday August 16th, your homeboy is teaching a double.
I'm covering for Lulu and Hannah, starting with the beginner vinyasa class at 9:30 am. We'll break down some sun salutations, do a few standing poses and ease into our weekend afternoon. Yup, 75-minutes of asana to get you vitalized for Summer fun.
At Noon, it will be 90-minutes of intermediate/advanced asana. Some more salutations, a few rhythmic sequences, an arm balance or two and inversions to some rocking tracks.
Makara is located at 164 Montrose Avenue in Brooklyn. Drop in rate is $15. You don't even have to bring a mat. Free rentals!
See you there,
Check it out ... new business cards!
I just got my new shipment of rounded mini-cards from the fine people at MOO. Time to cover the city with these bad-boys!
Again, after peeping my home-girl, Dina Ivas' cards, I said to my self, "GET 'EM!"

Four years ago today was the first time I ever stepped onto a yoga mat at The Yoga Room. It was hot. It was tough. Real and perceived limitations hindered my mind. Now ... the possibilities are endless. Thank you to everyone who has helped and guided me through this continuous journey.
This Friday at Makara Studio, Brooklyn we go hard for 90-minutes! Nothing is better than starting your weekend with a donation based vinyasa class. Show up: we start at 4:00 pm, and end at 5:30 pm with a smiling face.
Then on Saturday, 90 more minutes of asana, as I continue to cover for Hannah Harpole, leading the Noon to 1:30 pm Intermediate/Advance vinyasa class. Last week was fun ... this Saturday, expect more of the same.
Sunday, end up at Cooper Park. From Noon to 1:15 pm for donation yoga outdoors. Down to Earth Markets will be out there as well with their great selection of fruits, vegetables and pantry staples.
If you are a local ... walk or bike it to Makara. If not ... the L-train leaves you within minutes of the studio.
An intimate studio, serene for Yoga, with all the ambience needed to roll your mat out and just move with awareness.
Every Wednesday, I lead a Vinyasa Flow class at Anthea Yoga & Healing Arts Center. Whether its inside the cozy studio, with flickering candle lights, or the gentle breeze and sunset action outdoors on the patio deck.
On any given Wednesday night, from 8 to 9:15, you can experience either.
Hope to see you there!
Extra, Extra …
This upcoming week is a busy one. You can catch any of my classes all over the city starting on Monday. Want your vinyasa hot?
Then on Monday and Tuesday, head over to Earth Yoga for some Hot Power Flow. August 4th and August 5th, I'll be leading one-hour hot vinyasa classes at the beautiful studio on 328 East 61st Street in the city.
On Wednesday, my weekly class at Anthea Yoga & Healing Arts Center in Astoria, from 8:00 to 9:15pm, could be your mid-week pick-me-up.
Thursday, head back into the city -- uptown to be exact -- for some vinyasa at Beloved Yogi Harlem, from 6:00 to 7:15pm.
Makara Studio is the site for my weekly donation based class from 4:00 to 5:30 pm on Fridays. Oh, I'll be subbing again for Hannah Harpole this Saturday August 9th, intermediate/advanced vinyasa at Makara, from noon to 1:30 pm.
The week closes on Sunday August 10th in Brooklyn, again at Cooper Park, for a weekly 75 minute donation based class with the fine peeps at Down To Earth Markets. In addition to that, from 5:30 to 6:30 pm, after your brunch break, you can meet me at The Yoga Room in Long Island City for some hot vinyasa to book-end the week.
Got it? Go get it!
Any updates can be found on my SCHEDULE page.
Have a wonderful first week of August!
If I'm doing it, I'll be talking about it. Yoga chatter & more.
