What's up, Yogis? Hope your entry into 2021 has been safe and healthy. As we approach our one-year of virtual programming, it's a great pleasure to announce new additions to the team this week. What was one teacher on the platform has turned into a crew of amazing instructors delivering mind/body wellness daily! This 'Teacher Feature' spotlights Sonic Yoga alum and my colleague at Earth Yoga NYC, Babette Godfrey.

QUESTION: What is your favorite yoga pose/why?
BABETTE: "Sirsasana A! Headstand, without a doubt. It’s incredibly grounding and draws my focus completely to my breath and the present moment; it truly embodies the essence of yoga."
Q: What is your least favorite pose right now/why?
BABETTE: "Right now that would be Halasana (Plow pose) or Salamba Sarvangasana (Shoulderstand). I have been practicing and teaching these two so often lately that I’m starting to develop a spot of callus at the nape of my neck! Which is probably a good thing. :)"
Q: What lessons from the yoga mat have you applied off your mat?
BABETTE: "That it’s possible to feel uncomfortable or challenged but that I don’t have to be so reactive to it. Patience. Dedication. Releasing expectations."
Q: Do you have a guilty pleasure/binged watch anything etc., during quarantine?
BABETTE: "The Crown. The Queen’s Gambit. This Is Us."
Q: What is your post-class meal craving?
BABETTE: "Something truly nourishing. No snacks, I need a real meal haha. Definitely something with carbs!"
