We're back with Dina Ivas' Teacher Feature... part two! Catch Dina's amazing Vinyasa classes on our virtual platform. Get to know Dina a lil' more below: QUESTION: What are challenging poses for you? What pose are you looking to advance in?
DINA: "I always have struggled with savasana to be honest. It’s just really hard to quiet my mind lately either everything going on in the world and our industry. That said, I know savasana is there most important pose of them all, so I’ve been working hard to find stillness on my mat and commit to it. It’s so crucial for our mental health." Q: How would you describe your classes? DINA: "Light-hearted, accessible to all, challenging without being intimidating, fun and creative. I fucking LOVE what I do and I pour my heart and passion out on the mat in every single class." Q: What have you missed the most from quarantine lockdown? DINA: "Seeing my students’ faces IN PERSON, and giving hands-on assists." Q: Have you picked up hobbies/interests during lockdown? DINA: "Not any I’m proud of! Lol. Jk. I’ve gotten back into reading and writing a lot and want to pick back up sharpening my Spanish." Q: Do you like working out at night, or during the day? Time you like to practice? DINA: "Mid-day is my sweet spot. I love taking a run around noon, followed by a yoga class." Q: Standing one-legged poses or arm balances? Why? DINA: "Both! Because they both require calmness and steady focus." Dina (Instagram: dinaivas) is one of the many additions we have on our roster & you can catch her on 11/10/2020 at 6:30pm. Stay tuned for more 'Teacher Feature' posts and get to know your instructors. Love and light, Victor C.
