Self-care is defined as "the practice of taking action to preserve or improve one's own health." The consistency we create for ourselves for self-care will go a long way toward determining how happy or unhappy, and how vital or how depleted we are. How we focus our mental energies and choose self-health will impact our wellspring of health. Our essence shines when we connect our heart to our rhythms of day-to-day life and then we make wise choices based on the balance we create through our yoga practice and attention to mind/body wellness.
Practice yoga in everything, get out in nature, appreciate the people around you and let them love you—transcend calm on the mat, be kind and remember to restore the body, and rejuvenate post-class . We are all a lot more special and resilient than we realize. The practice of self-care just illuminates that.
This week we have Karen twice, Erin twice and Josh twice. BARRE has been moved to 9am on Monday morning, so you early risers can get the heart-rate up & treat yourself to some low impact and high intensity work to slay the week. Jennifer Oviedo is back to lead us through a sweet 10-minute meditation to cap our Thursday evening session.
