"People don't notice whether it's winter or summer when they're happy."
Seasonal Affective Disorder can be disabling for many during the cold Winter months. How to beat the cold, the effects of post-holiday events and the short days with daylight? MOVEMENT. A steady Yoga practice, along with breathwork and a regular schedule to keep you on track is the best way to release tension, stay invigorated and increase your serotonin levels so you can triumph during the coldest days of the year.
Poses like backbends can help awaken, legs up the wall regulates circulation and twists nourish the spine and internal organs.
Along with cardiovascular stimulation, the above poses will keep you balanced and focused to slay the cold.
This week, our crew of teachers will facilitate and cultivate all the goodness you need to kickoff your 2021 the right way. We welcome back Tanya Mgrdechian for some core and more Pilates. Josh Mathew-Meier will enlighten and illuminate your Tuesday. And Karen Hyland and Erin Giordano continue to bring heat and dynamic movement into our weekly schedule.
